Editing Suite
Our specialist digital video editing suite houses seven
Intel Duo Core Apple Macs running 'Final Cut Pro' editing
software. Each edit station comprises an Apple Mac tower,
specialist video editing keyboards, flat screen computer
monitor, a JVC preview monitor to view playback and a separate
amp for group members to listen to video work via headphones.
Each edit station has its own adjustable light to help create
a purposeful working environment.
This fantastic up-to-date equipment was installed in late
2007 complete with a SAN server allowing students the freedom
to use any computer to access their video work Along with
the purchase of seven editing stations, the department also
purchased eight HDV Sony V1 cameras, allowing students to
film and edit in HDV. This exciting new equipment reflects
BDCs commitment to providing industry level education to
its students.
