The BDC department offers a wide range of media production
qualifications through excellent technical facilities and
specialist teaching. Students are able to work in the television
studio, video editing suites, radio studios, computer suites
and photography darkroom to develop a variety of practical
and theoretical skills in media production. Recent activities
include visits from industry professionals, participation
in technical and creative workshops, a variety of trips
and ‘BRIT FM’ radio broadcasting to the local
community. Students have gone
on to study media degrees at the country’s premier
universities including Ravensbourne, Westminster, Leeds
and Bournemouth. After completion of our courses students
have gone on to study a wide range of degrees from specialist
video and radio production to journalism, marketing, PR,
advertising and mulitmedia. Our courses provide students
with up to date technical and industry knowledge allowing
them to gain work in their chosen field.(Videos
