Three students this year have achieved the Jack Petchey Award, which awards Key Stage 4 students with £200 to help benefit their classmates and the School.

Rhianna was nominated for an award due to outstanding effort in sport and for being a fantastic student. She has performed at a national level in basketball competitions while successfully managing her workload in school too.

Robbie is a hardworking and humorous student who is highly respected amongst his peers. He has a bright personality and is able to keep the energy high in any class or rehearsal despite how stressful it is. Robbie goes above and beyond what is expected of him. He never takes a break – he stays in the studio rehearsing when others leave to take their break always wanting to improve himself. He offers his own time willingly undertaking additional tasks for upcoming performances. He has edited music, lead independent rehearsals and created choreography all off his own back. He was the driving force behind the dance film created for Open Invitation December 2014. He directed, filmed and edited the 4min film and was paramount to its success in the show.

Megan in French class has shown a great commitment to the curriculum and subject expectations. Her behaviour is outstanding, and even though she started school with the lowest grade in French, at the end of her Y10 summer exams for French she was working at a C level. Her LOP is a B, which she will achieve with her ongoing effort and dedication to the subject. Megan is an example to follow in terms of focus in class, determination, hard work, homework quality and excellent time delivery as well as being a lovely person to deal with in and around the school, smiley, polite and caring.

Congratulations to them all.
