At KS4 99% of students achieved 5 A* - C grades in their GCSEs and equivalent qualifications. 99% of students achieved 5 A* - Gs. 64% achieved 5+A*-C’s including English and maths, up from 54% in 2007. All students took the BTEC First Diploma (equalling 4 GCSEs at A*-C) in their chosen arts area and 100% successfully completed the course. 100% achieved a Merit or Distinction, with 89% as Distinctions including 72% D*.

The mathematics results continue in their upward trend with 68% achieving an A* to C grade compared to 54% last year. 87% of students achieved an A* - C grade in English compared to 82% in 2007.

Post 16 students also achieved exceptional results this year. All students study for the BTEC National Diploma, which is equivalent to 3 A- levels. 98% of all grades were at Merit or Distinction with 85% at Distinction.

A significant number of students also take A levels alongside their vocational qualifications. 90% of students achieved at grade A – C in their A2 qualifications, with 99% of all students achieving a pass.

The average point score at Post 16 is 347.

There are a number of individual students who have achieved at the highest level in all their qualifications. Of particular note is Nicola Wright who achieved 3 Distinctions in her Performing Arts (Acting) BTEC National Diploma, as well as A grades in A Level English Literature and History. Nicola said: ‘I am really delighted with my results and am so grateful for the opportunities I received at the school.’

At KS4 Lily Desau achieved 14.5 A* - C grades at GCSE or equivalent, including 11.5 grades A* or A.

As a result of these achievements the great majority of our students are continuing to Post 16 education, progressing to Higher Education or gaining employment in the creative industries.
