Additional Studies
Additional Studies are an extremely important part of your education at The BRIT School. All Year 12 students are strongly encouraged to study an additional course alongside their main BTEC Extended Diploma. These courses allow our students to expand their knowledge, diversify their skills and gain an additional qualification which may assist them with future job or university applications. All students have dedicated time in their timetable that allows them to undertake an area of additional study and are able to make a choice from an ever expanding list of courses offered.
Additional Studies choices DO NOT form part of the application to the school. If you are successful in gaining a place on your chosen Creative or Performing BTEC course you will then be sent information about the Additional Studies process and our current offer.
Courses currently offered include:
GCSEs/Level 2 Certificates: English Mature, Maths Mature, Maths Adult Numeracy
AS Levels: Art & Design, Biology, English Literature, Film Studies, French, Government & Politics, History, Mathematics, Media Studies, Sociology, Spanish, Theatre Studies.
BTEC Level 3 Certificates: Fashion & Clothing - Accessory Production, Make Up, Photography
BTEC Units: Applying Acting Techniques, Contemporary Dance, Jazz Dance, Singing Skills
ABRSM Music Theory Grades (I-VIII)
