Technical Theatre Arts
In Technical Theatre Arts we run the BTEC Extended National Diploma in Production Arts. It is a two year free course that provides you with excellent learning opportunities that will help to develop you with the skills to pursue a professional career within the Performing Arts industry. Our philosophy is very 'hands on', and the learning is delivered as much as possible in a realistic working environment through practical exercises, simulated work environments and technical roles for shows in the School’s theatres
By the end of the two year course all students will have had the opportunities to gain a unique foundation in the arts and skills needed to enter the technical theatre arts industry or to continue with their education and training in Higher education. Many students have been successful in continuing their education with universities and colleges such as RADA, Guildhall, Rose Bruford, Mountview and the Guildford School of Acting.
A number have also gone on to begin successful careers with for BBC Radio, Capital Radio, Production Resource Group (PRG), Britannia Row Productions, Capital Sound Hire, White Light, The National Theatre, Lewisham Theatre and Chessington World of Adventures
TTA is proud to be sponsored by some of the industries biggest players.
