CT Support BRIT School Production Arts

As a leading video equipment and services provider, Creative Technology (CT) were pleased to provide professional industry support to The Production Arts course at The BRIT School, the UK’s leading performing arts and technology State School.

CT is always looking to get involved with the local community and work with young, enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn more about the live events industry. Tom Burford, Head of Technical Services at CT, assisted BRIT student, Morgan Evans, to design and specify projection-mapped scenic projection to the set and stage surfaces of a recent musical theatre production of ‘Into The Woods'. Delivering the design, CT supplied 2 x 20,000 lumen projectors to BRIT for the duration of the show. Chris Higgins, Project Engineer at CT, held a masterclass workshop in rigging and operating projection equipment for Yr12 and Yr13 Production Arts students, whilst the loaned equipment was being installed in the BRIT Theatre.

Martin Locket, Trustee at The BRIT School, affiliated to Production Arts, commented “We are very grateful to Creative Technology for the projectors provided for our production and for the support, mentoring and experience they have given our students. We are looking forward to building on this industry partnership and are already discussing further areas where BRIT Students can become involved with the equipment and projects that Creative Technology supply. We have numerous students on our course who are specifically interested in video within live events and this is a really great opportunity for them and hopefully exposes CT to some great emerging talent also.”

CT plans to continue supporting and working closely with schools and universities to continue inspiring the future generation and encouraging young people to enter the exciting industry of live events.

“It’s been eye-opening to work with you and to explore the technical side of realising a video design, which I have never seen before. Your work and innovation at CT, especially with the VR, was extremely inspirational and has made me even more motivated to work with video in the future. Your guidance made the process constructive, and you left with our minds overflowing with new knowledge.” - Morgan Evans, BRIT Student
