Film & Media Production Course at The BRIT School receives Screen Skills accreditation

Recognition that the course provides industry-relevant skills, and strong links with industry professionals and potential employers.

25 February 2020: The BRIT School has been ScreenSkills Select endorsed for it’s Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology – Film and Media Production course. It will be the only accredited centre at this level within London.

The accreditation assures prospective employers that students have the levels of knowledge and skill they want in new employees opening up positive job prospects for students.

ScreenSkills Select enhances the quality of endorsed courses through a rigorous application process and annual monitoring. Each course is reviewed and discussed annually with industry evaluators.

Director of Film and Media Production Graham Chalk said,  “Being awarded the accreditation and receiving industry backing is a reflection of the quality of teaching and learning within the department and also credible proof that Film and Media at The BRIT School prepares you for entry into industry from age 18. It is important that young people can understand which option can provide them with the best opportunities after course completion. The Film and Media course at The BRIT School has a real focus on the skills that learners require in order to make their first step into a successful creative career and the quality of the film, TV and online work that our students produce is not only current and relevant but is now getting the recognition that it deserves.
