Mock Seasons

The BRIT School’s academic and vocational calendars allow for:

  • A Year 11 and Post 16 Pathways Mock Season, in the first two weeks of January annually. In 2023-24 the Mock season will begin on the 15th December 2023 and end on the 12th January 2024 for written exams and practicals. MFL French and Spanish speaking assessments will take place in Term 3 week 3, 15th - 19th  January 2024. - Now Completed. Results will be given to students on the 7th February 2024. - now completed
  • A one day of year 10, English Literature and Maths Mocks on Tuesday 13th February. - now completed
  • A year 11 core GCSE subjects / Mature English and Maths GCSE / Pathways Mock series In Term 4 week 1, (W/C 11th March 2024)
  •  A Year 10 Mock Season in June 24th June -27th June 2024. 

The Mock Seasons cover written exam content only for GCSE Options,GCSE Core Subjects and Pathway Subjects. In Year 11 mocks, only if time allows, will we schedule a practical assessment for GCSE Textiles, Art Option, Photography Options, in the January Mocks, the work created will be used for students' portfolios. 

There are no mocks for vocational UAL, NCFE, RSL, or BTEC qualifications in the Year 11 or 10 mocks seasons. The Live RSL, NCFE and BTEC external assessments will begin in January 2024. These will be given protected strand session time during the Year 11 Mocks. 

Candidates are required to bring their own equipment, such as black pens, pencils, calculators, and geometry equipment for all relevant examinations. The Exams Team recommend students also bring water in a clear unlabelled bottle for all exams. Highlighters are not allowed to be used in answers but maybe used for source booklets and inserts.

The March Mocks will take place between the 11th and 15th March 2024.
