THE BRIT SCHOOL CELEBRATES GREAT A- LEVEL, VOCATIONAL AND GCSE RESULTS

Key Stage 4 Examination Results 2018

August 23rd 2018

We are very with all of our Year 11 students who received strong vocational and GCSE results.

21% of all entries at GCSE were A*-A/9-7 grades, and 70% of students achieved five or more standard passes including English and Maths. An impressive 94% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in English, 80% achieved a Grade 4 or above in Maths which is an increase on last year.

38% of students achieved a Distinction* in a BTEC Level 2 First Certificate.  A Distinction* is the equivalent of A* grade at GCSE.

We are delighted with the creative and academic success of our students. Our highest achievers are Theatre student Digna and Dance student Vega Hertel who gained all A*-A/9-7 grades in all GCSEs. These results are testament to the determination and commitment of the students.

Post 16 Examination 2018, August 16th 2018

We are once again delighted with The BRIT School’s exam results at Post 16 and feel they reflect the hard work and dedication of our students. All students study for the Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma, which is equivalent to three A-Levels.

This year 57% of our students achieved the top grade D*D*D*. This is the equivalent of 3 A*s at A level.  Over 200 BRIT School students gained this top grade. 79% of our Year 13 students achieved a D*D*D* to D*DD in their vocational qualifications which is the equivalent to an A*-B grade at A Level.

Many of the students also take A levels alongside their vocational qualification. The A-Level pass rate is 100% with 84% achieving grades A*-C which is an increase on last year’s 75%.

It is noteworthy that eight students have all gained places at Central Saint Martin’s to study Fine Art, Textile Design and Graphic Design. As well as four students being accepted onto the Musical Theatre course at ArtsEd. Max Margolis was our highest performer achieving D*D*D* in Music and A* in English Literature. He is now going to study Music at Berkeley, California.

As a result of these achievements the majority of students will take up places at top Universities and world-class vocational schools, and be significantly prepared for the world of work.
