BTEC Level 2 Tech Award in Creative Media Production
We are offering an innovative and exciting Interactive Digital Design course that will allow you to explore a range of technologies and practices that are relevant to the pace of the design industry. The Interactive Digital Design course introduces students to the design and study of computer games, animation, graphic design and web design.
Alongside the strong practical and skills based curriculum, you will also study the impact of technology, digital media companies and the impact of social media on society through classwork, speakers and trips.
Facilities and activities
So you can get the most up to date experience on this course, there is a whole suite of iMacs equipped with the latest design and development software, plus hardware like iPads, digital SLR cameras and mobile devices to get your hands on.
We also invite lots of industry professionals to come in and speak to you to show you where your course can take you. In the past people from companies like Google and Aardman Animation have all visited The BRIT School to answer your questions about the digital media industry.
What qualities do you need to have?
You should be a person who is interested in technology and design and who is strong at working both independently and collaboratively. You have to be self-motivated, creative and dedicated to working in this fluid and dynamic area. You will have ideally come from a media, ICT, art, technology or design background and have an interest in digital design. The Interactive Digital Design course provides training for students committed to having a career in one of these associated industries.

The qualification you will get if you join this course at 14 will be a BTEC Level 2 Tech Award in Creative Media Production, equivalent to GCSE 9-4. You will learn about the design and study of computer games, animation, graphic design and website production while on this course.
If you hope to take a career in the industry, work experience is a core part of the course, and you will have the opportunity to expand your portfolio through exclusive work placements. Previous students have visited top London design agencies and even big companies like Google for their work experience.
