Our curriculum is designed to provide a well-rounded education, offering both theoretical knowledge, contextual understanding and practical skills in a creative or performing arts discipline. Each course or “strand” has been designed to ensure that students are industry- ready and equipped for success in their chosen fields.

At Key Stage 4 you will study/learn on the Level 2 UAL Diploma in Performing and Production Arts (Musical Theatre):

  • Technique (Acting, Singing,Dance)
  • Performance Skills
  • Creative Skills
  • Professional Skills and Industry  Insight 
  • Research, Context and Digital Skills

The course offers skills and training in a range of areas which include:

  • Integrated: Bringing together the core skills and techniques necessary to develop as a Musical Theatre performer: Musical Theatre history, Song & Dance project; BRIT Fringe, Final Major Production
  • Acting: Working with text; Improvisation; Devising; Technique; Historical and Social Context of Drama to develop your acting and performance skills. 
  • Dancing: Technique; Jazz Dance; Choreographic Techniques; Ensemble Dance
  • Singing: Vocal technique; Musical Theatre Repertoire; Acting Through Song; Students work in both large and  small ensemble groups, as well as individually on solo material. 
  • Professional Practice: Careers in the Arts, Masterclass, Applied Theatre and Community Outreach; Production Arts Project
