Record-Breaking Distinction Rates & University Destinations: Post-16 Excellence

At Post-16, BRIT students undertake a rigorous curriculum combining a specialised performing or creative arts UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma, equivalent to three A Level, with many also completing additional A Levels on top. This year’s achievements pave the way for extraordinary futures, with graduates progressing into leading universities, elite creative industry training programmes, apprenticeships and employment across the creative sectors and beyond.

• Record-Breaking Top Grades: 98% of the cohort achieved a Distinction or Merit in their UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma - the highest percentage of upper-tier grades for the UAL Level 3 Diploma in the school's history.
   

• Maintaining Highest Outcomes: 82% of all students (405 individuals) earned a Distinction in their UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma, the highest grade possible and equivalent to 3 A*s at A Level. This marks the second consecutive year that over 80% of the year group reached this top tier.
   

• Higher Education Success: 98.9% of applicants secured their first-choice university place, outperforming this year’s national average of 79%.
   

• Academic A-Level Rigour: As well as excelling in their specialist creative education, BRIT students also achieved strongly in academic A Levels in English Literature, History and Maths with 40% of students achieving A*- B grades and 70% achieving A*- C grades.

• Breaking Barriers to Potential: Founded on the premise that world-class creative education must be free and accessible to all, we prove that when diverse learning needs are met with an inclusive curriculum and industry-standard support, barriers disappear:
  
  68% of students eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) and 73% of students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN) achieved a Distinction - the peak of attainment at this level.

Future Pathways: From Classroom to Industry & Beyond

The true value of these results is reflected in our graduates' next steps which cover an exceptionally wide range of destinations. 

98.9% of students progressed to their first-choice of universities including University Arts London, University of Liverpool, University of Manchester and University of Warwick. Students have also secured places in world-leading vocational schools such as Urdang, Rose Bruford and Rambert, as well as highly-sought after apprenticeships, internships and industry employment. 

• Joshua Mark achieved a Distinction in Visual Art & Design alongside A Level Maths. This blend of creative vision and technical discipline helped Joshua secure a place at the prestigious University of Liverpool to study Architecture.
   

• Zach Mercier earned a Distinction in Digital Arts alongside A Level English Literature and will now be applying his cross-medium storytelling skills to study Media at  University College London (UCL), a global top-10 university.
   

• Billie Wilson achieved a Distinction in Dance, securing a place at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, one of the UK's most elite dance institutions.
   

• After earning a Distinction in Film & Media Production, Alfie Walton is stepping straight into employment with Middle Child Productions to launch his professional career.
   

• Last year Eleanor Martins achieved a Distinction in Theatre and Grade A in A-Level History. This year she earned a Distinction in the UAL Level 4 Diploma in Performance through BRIT’s unique Year 14 Bridge course designed for industry readiness. Her incredible track-record and performance has secured her a highly competitive apprenticeship with the BBC.

Setting Solid Foundations: Key Stage 4 Success

Over the past two years, Year 11 graduates have been people built the essential foundations needed for long-term success, balancing a demanding dual curriculum of core academic subjects alongside intensive creative training.

• 100% pass rate in specialist arts: 100% of all Year 11 students passed their University of the Arts London (UAL) qualification, cementing technical and creative competence their chosen art form.
   
• Strong core academic attainment: Students triumphed in their attainment in core subjects, with a remarkable 94.4% achieving a Grade 4 or above in English and 79.3% securing a Grade 4 or above in Maths - a solid increase on last year’s results. 
   
• Academic and Artistic Versatility: Success in core and specialist subjects reflect the exceptional depth and breadth our students achieve in Key Stage 4 - with 84% of students achieving Grade 4 or above across all GCSEs, against a national average of 67%.
  
  Over 80% of students secured Grade 4 or above across a wide range of subjects including Art, Biology, Dance, Drama, Physics and Film. By succeeding across a variety of disciplines, students have developed skills that are vital for navigating modern creative careers. like critical thinking, narrative voice, and problem-solving.
   
• Narrowing the disadvantage gap: As with Post-16, our commitment to ensuring all students have the tools to succeed is a priority in our Key Stage 4 too. Targeted support has delivered strong progress in closing the achievement gap between Pupil Premium students and their peers. This year, the gap in Attainment 8 scores (the student’s average performance across their top eight GCSE subjects) was slashed by 4.8 points compared to last year, reducing the disparity from 12.47 down to 7.67.
   
• Unlocking multilingual-talent: For the first time, the school supported students in taking an additional GCSE in their native home and community languages, including Mandarin, Polish, Russian. All of these students achieved the highest possible Grade 9, strengthening their cultural identity, while formalising their linguistic diversity into a qualification that can be utilised in the professional world.

By securing strong fundamentals in their core academics while honing their creative discipline, our Key Stage 4 students have laid the foundations to step confidently into specialised Level 3 pathways, further education, creative apprenticeships and beyond.
