British Leaders of Black Power — Sara Sheppard Yr 11
This digital painting was created to highlight key figures from the British black power and Panther movements in the 1960s. It is important to remember and celebrate the fight for Black rights in the UK as it can often be forgotten. For more information on each of these amazing leaders I recommend watching the BBC documentary 'Black Power: a British Story of Resistance.' - Sara Sheppard

Rosa Parks - Ella Edwards Yr 12
This piece is for an independent project with the theme of ‘Transitions’ and I chose the sub-theme ‘Black History’. I decided to use fine liner to draw Rosa Parks as she transitioned and changed the world through her brave activism, the most well known act being when she refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in 1955.
