Mock Seasons- with updated June 2022 Year 10 Timetable
The BRIT School’s academic calendar allows for one Year 11 and post 16 pathways mock season in the first two weeks of January annually, one day of year 10 English and Maths mocks in February and one Year 10 Mock season in June/July.
The Mock seasons cover written exam content only for GCSE options and core subjects. In year 11 mocks, only if time allows, will we schedule a practical assessment for GCSE Textiles, Art option, Photography options, this work is used towards student’s portfolios.
There are no mocks for vocational UAL, RSL, NCFE or BTEC qualifications in the year 11 or 10 mocks seasons.
Candidate are required to bring their own equipment such as black pens, pencils, calculators, and geometry equipment for all relevant examinations. The exams team recommend students also bring water in a clear unlabelled bottle for all exams. Highlighters are not allowed to be used in answer booklets but maybe used for source booklets and inserts.
Students are currently required to wear masks in the school communal areas and while in the exam rooms, unless they are exempt.
Year 11 Mocks:
The year 11 and pathways mock exam season, ran from the 5th January 2022 - 14th January 2022. This season has now been completed. Results have been issued in February in the year 11 students reports.
Year 10 Mocks:
In June - July 2022, year 10 students will sit three days of written mocks. Letters and timetables for these will be posted home by the 29th April 2022. If you have any Access Arrangement enquires for year 10 Mocks please speak to the AEN team and school SENCo as soon as possible. Year 10 Option subject information:
Please check the timetable for your subjects. Please check the full timetable as your option subject may have a clash, due to multiple option papers taking place in afternoon sessions.
Year 10 Option Clashes priority:
On the Wednesday 29th June 2022 the priority will be for Music option appraisal exam at 2:30pm in the lecture hall, and any students who also studies Film studies option/French Option/Spanish option, will have the opportunity to sit those options written papers on the Thursday 30th June at 2:30pm.
On the Friday 1st July for Drama/Dance option clashes, the priority will be for Drama option paper to be taken first at 12pm as it is a longer duration, and the Dance paper will be taken at 2pm. Both sessions for these papers will be able to accommodate extra time students.
